Saudi stampede: Five river state pilgrims missing



According to reports, which are not confirmed yet, two pilgrims from Rivers State may have died in the stampede that killed more than 700 in Mina, Saudi Arabia.
one person from the State was injured in the tragedy,according to Sources at the 2015 Hajj .
Alh. Abdurazak Diepriye ,Chairman of the Rivers State Muslims Pilgrims Board,  while answering questions from the media in Port Harcourt said they were yet to verify the report, In other words, they are not sure of the reports yet.

however,Diepriye, confirmed that six pilgrims from Rivers were currently missing, adding that the injured contingent had been discharged from the hospital.
11 people were initially missing as at the time of the tragedy, according to The Chairman of the board . His words,  “but we have located five and they are here with us now.”
“We can’t say any of our contingents is dead. We can’t also give you the names of those missing. We don’t want to cause any panic. We will keep in touch with you when we have any report,” he said.
After a crane collapsed at the Grand Mosque, killing 109 people, The stampede is the second disaster to strike Mecca in two weeks.
109 people plus extra 700 people dead in just two weeks . The state must be filled with great grief, especially to the directly affected families.
